What is the expected behavior?

To see and be able to use the "Ask" and "Code" buttons.

What do you see instead?

A single button like on regular ChatGPT

This breaks the workflow to anyone that started with a "ask", then instructed to create tasks, building on the initial ask to create more tasks instead. This regression causes the flow to start from scratch each time

Since Codex now doesn't know if I'm asking a question or want it to perform a task, everything takes three times the prompts it used to take to complete a task. Frankly, it's so bad I've had to revert to pasting the code into ChatGPT. That way, I can at least be sure it's going to answer a question and not waste seven minutes, then return two lines of answer with a bunch of code changes I didn't ask for.

Issue was fixed. Ask and Code buttons are back!

As of this morning the "Ask" button was removed again.

Update: the moved it to something called "plan"

Update: This functionality has been moved under the "plus" button and can be invoked via /plan or by clicking on the plus then on the "Plan" button
