macOS Darwin 24.6.0 arm64 arm

What steps can reproduce the bug?

It's an issue for codex web, not codex itself.
I don't know where to report, thus hereby leaving this issue.

When creating an environment, forked github repo does not appear.

I can choose repos I created, but not for the forked ones.

I believe this is a bug.

I should be able to select forked repo.

What do you see instead?

They are not available from the UI.

I'm also seeing this issue; some other information from what I've seen personally:

  • This issue seems to be the same for repository selection in the main codex prompt interface.
  • Forked repositories can show up in the general list of repositories in both cases, but never show in search results (see images)
  • The issue persists regardless of whether you grant Codex access to all your repositories, or to specific repositories (including the forked ones of course).

As a workaround, you can restrict Codex's authorized repositories in GitHub to just the necessary repository(s), and then select it from the general list. With the environment(s) created you can switch back to whatever setting you had before.
