Project-specific mcp servers

What feature would you like to see?

All the projects we work on are nix-ified; for the majority, we have tools that require specific compiler versions, llvm versions, etc. These are all loaded via a nix shell.

It would help to us to be able to write mcp servers for the various tools and have them launched using the correct, project-specific toolchain.

FWIW, claude code supports this by checking ./.claude for mcp configruation.
