input anything with at least a handful of words.
resize the window so the line gets wrapped.
background styling broken.
i'll be the first to say this is a minor issue at best. otoh, you don't have to add background styling. if you _are_ choosing to do it, do it well.

looks like this is only an issue when you enter a prompt that's exactly the width of the terminal at the time you submit it, in which case we do not emit a clear-to-EOL sequence at the end of the line.
happens for me with any length. perhaps related to my terminal then? kitty. i didn't try in others but can reproduce.

ah, yeah, that looks to me like a kitty bug (or ... behavior? 😬). iterm2 and Terminal.app both handle this correctly. ghostty and xterm.js seem to be broken too.
