Everything in codex is taking 5m+ please, even something as simple as remove this variable from the header file is taking ~5-10minutes.
What is the expected behavior?
I appreciate how codex is thorough and don't mind it being slow in general, but I feel this started after dev-day.

One more thing to consider - internet connection.
In my case AI Agents like codex, claude, cursor, cline, roo - all of them - operate extremely slow due to connection problems. I have no idea what kind of connection problems but it might be it and thing to consider. Below is the detailed by the way description of my internet access problems (do not read if you're not interested as it's partially off-topic).
On my home PC when I'm on Wi-Fi certain games experience high latency on short moments. For example all is good and latency is 10-20 ms on wifi but sudddenly (sometimes after 3 minutes, sometimes after 15 minutes) I get hit with HUGE lag spikes, with 1500ms, dropped packets etc. and it comes back to normal state after few seconds. Usually it's enough to get disconnected to a game server. Additionally some websites aren't loading correctly - for example Facebook often lags, Reddit almost never loads correctly but freezes in the middle of loading. Coding agents are working extremely slow - simple task can consume 20-30 minutes for Codex, even if it's just changing few variables. I believe it's some kind of data streaming problem. It's sometimes stuck for so long that it has to re-connect. Often after re-connecting it completes the task in matter of seconds.
So one thing - it might be caused by codex but not all the problems are caused by it always. These agents need to have very stable connection as far as I see.
Unusable!
Extremely slow
This bug report isn't actionable, so I'm going to close it. If you see issues like this in the future, please use the recently-added
/feedbackcommand so we have additional details.I see this too. Is realy fast, but little additional questions in codex leads to nothing, so I have too quit each session.
Same thing been happening to me for the last 3 days. Every single prompt takes forever. Even the most simple ones.
