Choices should support number keys

What feature would you like to see?

Not sure if a bug or a feature request - when choices are given in Codex CLI, we get a neat numbered list, but apparently can't press number keys to select them. Need to either support this or remove the numbers. As it is now, it's terrible UX, plus it requires multiple keypresses instead of just one to select the choice.

Number keys works for me
macOS, codex-cli 0.46.0

Interesting, so it seems to be a bug after all.

I'm on Artix Linux, X11, xterm. Latest Codex CLI version per vanilla npm install.

What choices? User Approval (i.e., "do you want to allow this?") should respond to a numeric keypress without pressing "Enter." If the agent presents a list of options on its own, such as during planning, then that doesn't trigger any specific behavior by the CLI as far as I'm aware. You'd have to press a number and then Enter.

Can you provide a screenshot of the behavior you're seeing?

Upgraded to 0.46 and it works. Thanks!
