What version of the VS Code extension are you using?

Codex 0.52.0

What subscription do you have?

Pro subscription

Which IDE are you using?

VS Code Insiders 1.106.0-insider

What platform is your computer?

Windows 10.0.26120.0 x64

What issue are you seeing?

The Recent view shows only 3 conversations even when there is plenty of vertical space. The rest of the panel is mostly empty while the chat composer expands upward. This forces extra clicks “View all” and slows down switching between active threads.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Open the Codex panel → Home (Recent)

What is the expected behavior?

  • Show 5–7 recent conversations by default or auto-fit the number of items to the available vertical space
  • Keep “View all” for full history but reduce the need to click it
