What feature would you like to see?
You changed behavior: now shift-return submits instead of making a newline. I can only use ctrl-return for newlines now. Please restore the old behavior, and allow either modifier. I keep accidentally submitting!

Which terminal emulator and OS are you using?
iTerm2 latest and macOS Tahoe
I noticed after posting this that in one session, neither ctrl nor shift newline was working - it would submit. And in another session, shift newline was still working. Mysterious.
I did close and reopen iTerm2 before this which resumed my sessions automatically. That may have caused the issue - I just tested and a new tab / codex session is working again. Seems that iTerm2's session restoration messes with codex.
I don't know why all the CLI tools don't use Return for new line and CTRL Return for submit, it's so much better
