Right click paste no longer possible in Linux (gnome-terminal)

What issue are you seeing?

I copy some text, right click the terminal and paste. Nothing happens.
I have to use the middle mouse button or shift+insert, but that doesn't work, because of different buffers in Linux.
For instance on github you can click to copy some code snippet, this can't be pasted into codex cli.
FWIW opencode has the same issue, probably using the same TUI lib.
