What version of Codex is running?

Web version (normal) 1x

What subscription do you have?

Plus

Which model were you using?

Codex

What platform is your computer?

MacOS

What issue are you seeing?

Codex daily limit reached after 3 small tasks, as well as 30% of my weekly limit being taken.

I never even knew codex had a daily and weekly limit until today, and I have used codex extensively, with major heavy duty code/repo refactoring, and never running into a limit issue.

This is a bug for sure, as my limits been rinsed for the smaller task.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

I have no idea?

What is the expected behavior?

My limits not being reached for hardly any usage.

Additional information

Others are running into the same issue today, and I would like my limits reset, and working properly.

@lunamidori5 sooooo annoying init! Ive reached out to support but they are as slow as a snail. Hopefully it can get resolved soon for both of us. Did you also contact support?

It seems that my quota gets exhausted much quicker than previously (Codex CLI, ChatGPT Pro subscription)

I have run 3 tasks today, 1x 10 minute one, x 16 minute one and 1x 31 minute one.
Those 3 tasks add up to 57 minutes, or roughly 20% of the allowance, according to the usage page I now have 67% of my 5 hour limit left (and have burned through my weekly allowance in just 1 day).

It seems like the calculations are wrong, if the usage is time based (5 hours per the usage page) and the agent works for less than 1 hour then the usage should reflect the limits imposed not some arbitrary number.
Perhaps a time based limit is not the way to present this? if usage is based on workload not time then the representation of how many "credits" were used for a task should be shown on the usage dashboard and the actual task itself?

In fairness, I am using Codex more than I expected so a plan upgrade is looking like it will be required but to be able to continue to use it effectively.
