What issue are you seeing?

Hello, using my Pro+ Copilot plan in VS Code Insiders, I always get the error: Connection failed: error sending request for url (http://localhost:57608//responses) every time I interact with the Codex chat. Thank you in advance for any help.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Just try to write in Codex chat, and it does 5 retries then triggers the error.

What is the expected behavior?

The chat should work as expected and not fail.

Is this something that worked for you at some point and stopped working or is this your first time trying this feature with your Pro+ account?

Hi @youbi449, is it possible that you have the web_search tool enabled? I just fixed this (Copilot does not support it yet) and the fix will be out in the next Copilot Chat pre-release.

If that's not it, can you check the output of the Copilot Chat output channel for a more specific error?

I switched to release version 0.4.35 as you mentionned it and it's working now ! but not in the pre release version 0.5.XX
