Usage limits inversed on extension vs CLI

What version of Codex is running?

codex-cli 0.55.0

What subscription do you have?

Pro

Which model were you using?

gpt-5-codex (high)

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 25.0.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Usage limits appear to be the inverse of the actual use in the VSCode extension.

CLI (actual usage):

Not sure if this is causing the failures happening now or unrelated.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. /status in CLI (after populating data)
  2. Viewing usage limits UI in VSCode extension

What is the expected behavior?

Should show the same figures.

Note: this is on pre-release 0.5.36 of the extension.

Thanks for reporting. Yes, the difference in how this is reported is confusing. We're planning to unify how it's reported across the CLI and extension.
