What issue are you seeing?
My issue is that latest version of Codex is not allowing me to run it in the agent mode unless I install WSL but eve when I install WLS I am still having issue that I need to install WLS to run Codex in agent mode
I tried released versions as well, but they are not allowing me to run Codex even in chat mode or any other mode

What steps can reproduce the bug?
Not sure about steps to reproduce
What is the expected behavior?
Running Codex without issues

This issue is not happening with versions older then 2 weeks, this is new issue, when I install older version Codex runs fine

+1 neither cursor nor vscode can be used
No problem using the one from a month ago
Yes using older versions work, but I don't want to be restricted on using the version that is 1 month old

I updated the config.toml file to only this, and it started working in VScode for me, still doesn't work in cursor:
model = "gpt-5-codex"
model_reasoning_effort = "high"
We've fixed a number of issues related to WSL on 0.4.39. Please upgrade to the latest version to try this out. Based on confirmation of these fixes in other issues like #6304 and #6435 I'm going to close this issue. If you're still seeing this problem, please open a new issue.
