Description

Our organization is preparing to use OpenAI Codex in a restricted corporate network environment.
Before we can enable outbound connections, our security and network teams require an official list of Codex (or OpenAI API) endpoints to approve through the firewall.

Currently, OpenAI does not provide a clear document specifying API domains, ports, or protocols used by Codex.
We only know that the API is generally accessed via https://api.openai.com, but there is no detailed guide (like Claude’s network configuration documentation).

For comparison, Anthropic provides a clear document here:

That document includes endpoint domains, required ports (443), and communication protocols, which makes corporate approval much easier.

Please provide an official “Network Configuration Guide” for Codex or OpenAI API including:

• All API endpoint domains (e.g., api.openai.com, mtls.api.openai.com, etc.)

Why this matters

Without an official endpoint list, internal firewall approval for Codex cannot proceed.
Providing documentation like Claude’s will help many enterprise users integrate OpenAI APIs securely and compliantly.
