  • Set the VS Code theme to Light+
  • The buttons below the input have a white foreground color on a light gray background

For some reason they're correct on Light Modern.

Is this Codex UI issue related to the VS Code 1.94 changes to Modern Themes, where the "workbench.useModernUI" flag was removed and --vscode-ui-* color tokens are now only available in Modern themes?

Workaround
Adding the following block to settings.json as a temporary workaround until I can confirm whether the theme I use will be updated to support VS Code’s Modern Theme changes.

```settings.json
"workbench.colorCustomizations": {
"quickInput.background": "#ffffff",
"quickInput.foreground": "#1f1f1f",
"editorSuggestWidget.background": "#ffffff",
"editorSuggestWidget.foreground": "#1f1f1f",
"editorSuggestWidget.selectedBackground": "#e6f0ff",
"editorSuggestWidget.highlightForeground": "#0066bf",
"list.activeSelectionBackground": "#e6f0ff",
"list.activeSelectionForeground": "#1f1f1f",
"list.hoverBackground": "#f5f5f5",
"menu.background": "#ffffff",
"menu.foreground": "#1f1f1f",
"menu.selectionBackground": "#e6f0ff",
"menu.selectionForeground": "#1f1f1f",
"dropdown.background": "#ffffff",
"dropdown.foreground": "#1f1f1f",
"dropdown.listBackground": "#ffffff",
"button.background": "#e6e6e6",
"button.foreground": "#000000",
"button.hoverBackground": "#dcdcdc",
"button.secondaryForeground": "#000000",
"button.secondaryBackground": "#f2f2f2",
"button.secondaryHoverBackground": "#e5e5e5",
"titleBar.activeBackground": "#ffffff",
"titleBar.activeForeground": "#000000",
"sideBar.background": "#f8f8f8",
"editor.background": "#ffffff",
"editor.foreground": "#1f1f1f"
},
I’ve been waiting for updates for several days. I just found that it works after changing the theme to “Light Modern.”
Issue exists in: Light (Visual Studio), Light+, Quiet Light and Solarized Light
Workaround is to switch to: Light Modern, Light High Contrast
No issues with Dark themes.
Issue first appeared in 0.4.37 or 0.4.38 (Codex VS Code Extension)
I use the "Light (Visual Studio - C/C++)" theme and experience the issue. I use this light theme because it is one of the few that provide more colours to distinguish things in C++ code.
This will be fixed in the next release. Sorry for the regression here!
