It's:

codex resume

Not:

codex --resume

Use this to see the commands, arguments, and options available:

codex --help

I outsourced my thinking to the chatGPT tool and it told me there is no such resume command. I wasted 2 hours writing some scripts to store conversation into a log file , then loading it. Project specific, folder specific conversations, etc... We went into a rabbit hole of wonderland in this direction.
