What version of Codex is running?

codex-cli 0.58.0

What subscription do you have?

API

Which model were you using?

gpt-5-codex

What platform is your computer?

Darwin 24.3.0 arm64 arm

What issue are you seeing?

Every time I use Codex CLI "@" after completion using Tab or Enter it going to removes the "@" annotation symbol and make the reference useless.

Also when start type "@" the search aren't showing up unless I typed something, is it more convenient to show up at first and ignore .git files? So we kinda sense get what we've looked for

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Get into Codex CLI then start type "@" says no matches then even after you find and complete completion it will remove your "@" sign and it not become reference anymore and then codex will start ls.

This is small but kinda annoying at long run prompt code

What is the expected behavior?

Should not remove "@" sign for focused, direct and annotation. Better to show up at first and remove .git files

Additional information

Let me know if im missing something. Thanks.
