bug: codex doesn't answer anymore after asking to fix/improve a code (Gemini)

What steps can reproduce the bug?

What is the expected behavior?

It should just continue as asked and answer / do the changes

What do you see instead?

It just doesn't answer anymore, we get the "Thinking" animation but nothing else.
