What issue are you seeing?

stream disconnected before completion: Transport error: Error while reading the server response: error decoding response body, request id: 9a2dc82b4f52e812-ORD

In between reasoning steps: "Reconnecting... 4/5" and similar appeared until it ultimately failed again.
Possible workaround is custom config in 'read only', however, that did lead to an "oops, an error has occured" before being able to complete full response.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Codex extension in windows VScode.
Requested a front-end fix to a file with 5.1 codex-max high reasoning.
Issue persisted 5.1-codex medium reasoning and base 5.1 medium reasoning.

What is the expected behavior?
