What feature would you like to see?
$!#^% fix /feedback
I typed a whole paragraph for a new feature. Clicked on the suggested link and lost everything.
Can't even retrieve the text that I typed!

I DID select 4 (Other). Then the URL STILL contains template=2-bug-report.yml.

This was from the CLI - recent
mainas usual. I'm using linux.(Answering an email I got: etraut-openai left a comment (openai/codex#7294)
Were you using the Codex CLI or the VS Code Extension when you ran into this issue?
but don't see that comment here anymore)
Thanks for the additional info. I deleted my question shortly after I posted it because I realized that the behavior was the same in the CLI and extension. In other words, it didn't really matter whether you were using the CLI or the extension — the problem exists with both.
Same problem on codex mac app. When submitting feedback in the Codex app, if you click outside the modal by mistake, all entered text is discarded/lost.
The main problem seems to be that the github template doesn't exist any more / has been renamed.
Come on, OpenAI … this has been open for three months by now. Fixing it would take three minutes.
@smurfix, the github template link was fixed several versions ago in the CLI. If you are still seeing this, let me know which version of the CLI you're using.
The problem was fixed in the app and extension more recently, and the fix will be included in the next release of both.
@smurfix, please update to the latest version (0.110.0).
