Why does the CodeX plugin consume quota twice as fast as the CodeX CLI?

Do you have the same feeling?

Is it because of different credit limit settings?

Or is it just my imagination?

I presume you're referring to the Codex VS Code extension? It is built on top of the CLI. It actually launches a copy of the CLI behind the scenes and uses it to perform all interactions with the model. They also share the same configuration file (~/.codex/config.toml). So you shouldn't see any differences in token usage between the two.
