Mcp or alternative support

What feature would you like to see?

1. I would like to request first-class support for tool-calling protocols—specifically MCP and UTCP (Universal Tool Calling Protocol)—in both the Codex CLI and the Codex IDE extension.
2. Integrate with existing agent ecosystems

• UTCP already has implementations in:

• Go (go-utcp),

• Rust (rs-utcp – installable via cargo add rs-utcp),

• Python and Elixir (community).

1. With MCP/UTCP, Codex could support:

• tool chaining,

• CodeMode execution,
