"Pasting a content" twice, then deleting one of them also deletes the first "pasted content"

What version of Codex is running?

codex-cli 0.63.0

What subscription do you have?

Pro

Which model were you using?

gpt-5.1-codex-max

What platform is your computer?

6.17.8-arch1-1

What issue are you seeing?

I pasted something long and then accidentally pasted it again. Then I deleted the second paste and the first one was removed from the chat. I could tell because it did not expand in the cli when I sent it and the model had no clue what I was talking about.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Paste a long text (and potentially image. Did not test as pasting an image itself is flaky) twice. Then delete the second copy

What is the expected behavior?

Don't delete the first [pasted content]
