what is the difference between /quit and /exit slash commands?

Both slash commands instruct the user to exit the codex.

You can use either command to exit codex. /exit is simply an alias for /quit.

It's historical. Early versions of codex supported only /quit, but we received feedback that some users prefer /exit. We could go back and delete one of them, but this will be inconvenient for users who have gotten used to the current commands. Having an extra redundant command isn't doing any harm.
