This would be great, especially since some of them are advertisements/announcements and not tips:
I'd like to disable this being there every startup or even better I'd like to keep actual tips and disable just advertisements/announcements.
This feature request hasn't received enough upvotes, so I'm closing it.

this is not social media, where you decide based on upvotes or number of comments, lol.
you have to use common sense, and common sense tells you this should be implemented.
