Multiple thinking processes within terminal

What steps can reproduce the bug?

When you open up another terminal while codex is processing a user query a loop of thinking lines seem to open up parallel to your own process. Not sure if this affects performance or what not but could be checked-out further.

What is the expected behavior?

We shouldn't see more than one process running in the terminal UI but we do see more than one, each time a terminal is opened, another process seems to loop in.
