I would like to be able to use git worktrees to achieve parallel agents just like how it works in Cursor.

I have already implemented the codex --worktree feature in https://github.com/scharalambous3/codex
Hoping OAI engineers will allow me to open a PR soon

@scharalambous3, glad to hear you got something working in your fork, but we are not generally accepting PRs. A feature like this would need to go through significant UX and design review to ensure that it works, is properly exposed via app server APIs, and is implemented in all of the codex surfaces.

you can achieve worktrees in codex CLI by asking the agent to use a worktree
