What steps can reproduce the bug?
Start Codex and set sandbox_mode = "workspace-write" (or sandbox = "workspace-write", its changes nothing) and you see, that Codex still read-only

Are you using WSL? If not, do you have the Windows experimental sandbox enabled?

/feedbackslash command to upload your logs and session data, then post the thread ID here.Thanks! I wasn’t using WSL. Enabling the Windows experimental sandbox (features.experimental_windows_sandbox = true) fixed it — after that --sandbox workspace-write stopped falling back to read-only. Appreciate the pointer.
