codex does not respond to user input, even after nudging

What issue are you seeing?
1: codex gives response with question
2: user inputs answer (in simple cases just 'option b') + enter
3: nothing happens on the codex site of the session
4: user inputs . just to make sure the session is running
5: same as 3
6: user ends codex
7: user restarts codex
8: user resumes session
9: user gives anwer as in 2 ('option b')
10: codex understands the answer and moves on, gives next output including question
11: see 2
What steps can reproduce the bug?

Thanks for the update
I guess this is the same issue I see in VS Code / Codex extension. Codex prompts for input, I select my answer, but after that nothing happens. The prompt dialog stays in view blocking all input. I have to restart VS Code to continue. This issue makes the extension almost unusable now.
I think this started to happen after the previous extension update (where GPT-5.3-Codex was introduced).

@kinex, the issue you're seeing in the extension is different. We understand that problem and are working on a fix. It's caused by a deadlock related to parallel tool calls and approvals.
