For what it's worth for me that's not a viable workaround. I'm trying to use codex in a GitHub action on full auto. This works for me export CODEX_UNSAFE_ALLOW_NO_SANDBOX=1 from https://github.com/openai/codex/issues/848#issuecomment-2862949867
This CODEX_UNSAFE_ALLOW_NO_SANDBOX option doesn't work for me - same sandbox error (in Windows-WSL-Ubuntu).
Really hoping this gets resolved sooner-or-later as I'm stuck with the last working version 0.1.2504251709
